The weekend will provide help for them to get help themselves

and give them new tools to deal with traumas and resolve them in better ways in their Medical practices on a daily basis.

They are looking forward to seeing one another and learning how to experience a life characterized by resolving trauma and experiencing freedom and healing.

They have invited a Christian Psychologist, Dr. Reinhard Pichler, to speak on the effects of Trauma on Doctors and Healthcare Professionals and how they can be reconciled to God in this process.

Our part is to speak on practical ways to resolve trauma on the journey to healing and wholeness.  We will speak on the topics of invisible influences affecting us, how to overcome the “Victim Spirit and Mindset”, the effects of spiritual, emotional and physical trauma and becoming synchronized in our hearts to Jesus Christ through “Immanuel Moments” and the “Heart Sync Model of Ministry”.

Seminar On Quantum Healing With Essential Oils in Wiener Neustadt With Dr. Sharnael Wolverton From Swiftfire Ministries:

Dr. Sharnael Wolverton, ND

Dr. Sharnael Wolverton, Doctor of Naturopathy, from Denham Springs, Louisiana will give a Seminar in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, on “The Healing Property of Essential Oils and Quantumenergetics.”

The Seminar will be held on Friday, May 15th from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the Erloesungskirche, Brunnerstrasse 5-7, 2700 Wiener Neustadt, Austria.

As a college student Sharnael studied Bible and theology and had many spiritual experiences. She pursued her interest in healing through Bible and experience. According to modern research the historical record of using essential oils is justified as we explore their chemical makeup and people use them personally.

In modern times naturopathy has rediscovered the ancient art of applying these oils. They show evidence of cleansing for body and soul, of restoration of bodily functions and the brain, and of energizing spirit and soul. Dr. Wolverton remains in contact with the results of scientific research and has many experience with their use in naturopathic methods. Even animals profit by application of the essential oils.

We look forward to how God will reach people, who know the Lord already and those, who He is calling to be healed by His love, grace and truth. We look forward to all God has planned for this Seminar Evening.

We would like to update you on Martin & Sharon Van Horn, on Divine Design Project and Local Houses of Prayer and Blessing

Psalm 103:5 talks of our experience of the Lord this year. “He keeps satisfying you with good things, and he keeps renewing your youth like the eagle’s.” We are getting older, but the Lord’s blessings keep us young.

Our granddaughter, Vienna, came in wearing a new t-shirt announcing “Big Sister.” That’s how Bekka announced she was pregnant with grandson, Asher (Hebrew for “blessed, happy”). As we have all been blessing his spirit, he lives up to his name, peaceful, happy and solid! He has been developing strongly since July 21.

Vienna at 2 years old is entertaining us with her personal imitations of English sentences. She loved to tour the neighborhood Christmas “yights.” Every meal we had to sing “Happy,” which means “Happy Birthday to Jesus!”

Can we FaceTime?

From 1981 to 1995 we lived in Austria as missionaries. Since then Sharon has been able to visit and minister almost every year. Until 2014 Martin was able to go twice, but this year he was there to teach and pray three times. God is fulfilling our prayers and desires to see Austrians experiencing salvation and freedom and empowerment.

Having experienced many messages telling them they are inadequate, some of our Austrian friends are thrilled to see God using them as they bless people’s human spirit, revealing the pain and releasing the Lord’s good plan. We live here but through internet conversations on FaceTime we almost feel like we can be in Europe too.

In June Sharon attended the wedding of our good friends the Longstaffs’ grandson in England. From there she wound through the countryside on a bus ride to Cornwall and Wales in the west of Great Britain. There the Lord had a new experience for her and Janelle (from Evansville, Indiana). She lived through the daily rhythm of prayer at Ffald-y-Brenin, where the Lord’s presence comes into everyday life. They are the world center of Local Houses of Prayer, bringing blessing and salvation to local neighborhoods. Since then Sharon has found prepared people in USA who are making a difference where they live.

Son Joel Facetimed us after returning from vacation in Thailand with his girlfriend, Kendra Koch. He announced that he was engaged to be married (he asked her two times just to be sure). We congratulated them and found out the wedding date is in limbo. It’s going to be a “destination wedding.” (Mexico?)

Our times are in the Lord’s hands, not in ours.

On the February-March mission to Austria, Martin’s father, Franklin, was hospitalized with lung and heart difficulties. Martin, Sharon and Joel had visited him in a rehabilitation facility where he seemed to be getting stronger. Then at age 93 Frank passed into his Heavenly Father’s arms and Martin broke off the ministry to come back and speak at the funeral and comfort his mom (90) and family.

Young Living opens up new insights on God’s Creation healing oils

Dr. Rowntree from England showed us years ago the exotic desert trees that ooze their sap to provide Sacred Frankincense. All our lives we have heard of the Wise Men and their gifts, We learned how rare and how healing was this frankincense.

Now in 2014 we are personally benefiting from these trees God provided and Dr. Gary Young has been able to distill into highest quality essential oils. Not only do oils soothe the skin, but they stimulate the brain and strengthen our immune system. So many people are blessed by the oils and desiring to avoid side effects from medications that we are able to partner with them in business distributing Young Living oils. Maybe you would like to know more yourself.

Blessing the “ChemoBuddies” who bless patients undergoing chemotherapy

Sharon speaking to ChemoBuddies

Three years ago Jill’s sister received chemotherapy for breast cancer and noticed how cold and isolating the treatment room was. She dedicated her remaining time on earth to recruiting a team to accompany such patients so “no one would have to go through this alone.”

Sharon was invited to talk to the 35 ChemoBuddies who bring cheer and warm blankets and encouraging treats while they sit in the treatment room. She shared about trauma and comfort and gave them opportunity to share their feelings while bearing other people’s burdens.

You and I have a human spirit created by Father God and packed with good gifts (Hebrews 12). At the new birth we are unlocked and free for life in Christ, but we still have to unpack the good gifts. Sharon has found that our spirit has access to secrets that bring healing when Jesus is invited to come into the situation. Many have found their lives transformed by living out of a spirit-to-Spirit walk with the Lord. Then they go out and share their life-giving gifts.

When these spirit-led saints come together in Indiana, Kentucky or Austria in Europe, they find the gifts in one of them brings life to the spirit in another. And a group does not have to sit in the living room. They go out and bring healing and godly life to homes, towns and lands that have been oppressed by sin and spiritual darkness.

We were excited to see maturity and growth throughout 2014. Loretta joined us in January to share her insights on cleansing from the abominations that God hates. In February Pepi and Monika were at their lowest and spontaneously decided to fly to Louisville, where they were invigorated in their spirits and equipped with resources for the mission to foster families and connected to saints who continue to support their mission.

Praying for cleansing

In March Loretta joined Sharon and Martin to bring cleansing to cities and lands in Austria, where ancient murders and religions have left their oppressive marks. We asked God’s forgiveness and cleansing where Third Reich massacres had darkened the spiritual legacy in the lands. The presence of heaven was felt as the team blessed and legitimized the human spirits of Austrian saints who never knew how much Heavenly Father had packed into their lives. Sharon was invited to teach the Ruach team on trauma bonds to time before they ministered at the retreat.

Janelle was on the team invited to come back to Austria to train a group of some 40 saints in their spirit identities. The flow of life was like rain on dry ground. As Janelle and Sharon journeyed to Wales, they received an anointing and a commission at Ffald-y-Brenin retreat center. In Grace Outpouring you can read how the Lord sends needy people from all over the world to His “Sheepfold.” God has led the team to transform their communities by adding blessing to prayer. They use the illustration of an airplane needing two wings. Local Houses of Prayer and Blessing in Wales and Indiana and Oklahoma are seeing people and businesses prosper and people becoming aware that God cares about them.

Janelle at Conference 2014

Fall 2014 we saw people catching the vision of Local Houses of Prayer and Blessing in Indiana and Oklahoma. Families came together at Hubers Orchard for fellowship and to celebrate communion. We tried to tune in to God’s calendar, celebrating Rosh Hashana and observing Yom Kippur at the beginning of His year.

A November mission trip turned out to be a time for Martin and Sharon to consolidate a spirit-to-Spirit lifestyle with the Austrians. Pepi and Monika were comforted from the rebellion of their foster daughter running away in rebellion. We helped launch a spiritual team of ladies going into homes of needy people to serve them and to bless their spirits and homes. It was gratifying to see the Lord turn around a young man and his lifestyle as Sharon has been blessing him and his spirit for months.

We met Andrea 37 years ago when she was a bank teller and youth leader. She has maintained a friendship these years and has received the blessing of her spirit, but has been worn down by the oppression at her job for a financial consultant. After we spoke and prayed she sent a message saying, “On the way home I realized the connection between my spirit and God’s Spirit was there again. I had so much joy. Everything feels different: I have faith, hope and joy. I can change my world. Please write how to pray for my office so Jesus can bring liberation and life instead of oppression.”

Two years ago we prayed at Holy Cross Monastery (founded in 1133) before Manfred and Milena’s wedding, dedicating it back to Jesus Christ. Manfred brings the presence of the Holy Spirit every time he goes to work there. Now we have met a young professor of Spiritual Theology at the Papal College on campus. He was very approachable and accepted a copy of Martin’s book on heaven. God is at work!

Outreach Training

Every week we rejoice as we Facetime and hear how much the Lord is using Team Courage. The Austrians want more of God and so do we.

Joy unspeakable and full of glory

Joy overflowing bubbles up in our spirits when we see the Lord God faithful to His Body in Austria and finding ways to include us in His mighty work even though we left that country 19 years ago. He is up to something Big and we can hardly wait to see it.

Please pray as the Lord has opened a door of opportunity in 2015. Sharon and Martin are invited to speak to the Austrian Christian Doctors’ Association in May on the topic “Traumatization, Healing and Medicine.” A neurologist has said, “Traumatization is the mission field of the twenty first century.” Pray for our preparation and for the finances to come in. Thank you for your support.

Austria for Jesus – A Wedding

Posted by Martin Van Horn on June 2, 2012 under Events, Prayer | Be the First to Comment

Fourteen weeks ago, Loretta Brown and I left Austria after a two and a half week ministry assignment in Vienna, Lower Austria, Styria and Salzburg.  We spoke to three home groups with 20-35 people each time and presented a Seminar in Groedig near Salzburg. The message God gave us was about His Divine Design for us to live in reality rather than denial and out of our spirit to Spirit relationship with the Triune God rather than out of our souls. We taught principles from the Word of God, blessed people’s spirits, helped them discover their Redemptive Gifts and did some land assignments God gave us. One day in February, while we were there, a group of intercessors at Campbellsville University in Kentucky was propelled into an hour of prayer for Austria. “Let the sound of the Gospel echo off the mountains of Austria again!” That very day the Lord defeated a petition to establish a pagan outpost in the mountains of that land!

Evangelistic Outreach

Before we left Austria, Manfred and Milena Gruber asked Sharon if she and Martin would come back in June to perform their wedding ceremony before the Lord. They were married in 1992 before a Justice of the Peace, but want to invite friends and family to witness their marriage before God and testify to transformation Jesus Christ has made in their lives.

They have invited 120 guests of which 80 are not yet believers in Christ to a Wedding celebration on June 16th, 2012 at the Holy Cross Abbey in Lower Austria which is ten miles from Vienna in the middle of the Vienna Woods.  It is one of the most beautiful medieval monasteries of the world and has a relic of the “True Cross which is exhibited in the Chapel.

They are praying that many of them will be introduced to their Savior and come to know Him too.

Milena grew up in Bulgaria as a communist and was trained as a lawyer, who speaks five languages. She visited Austria often as a translator during her years of study. In 1991, she had a supernatural experience where she heard God tell her to stay in Austria. She met Manfred shortly after and they were married in 1992. Milena came to know Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in 2000. Her life was completely changed.  As a communist, there was no room for God. She began to be concerned about her neighbors in the small village of Furth and began inviting them to study the Bible. Many of them have come to know the Lord since and the Bible Study continues. In 2010, her husband Manfred came to know Jesus Christ as Saviour.

Manfred and Milena

Martin, Sharon, and Loretta have seen God open the way in Austria to people who want more of God. As Prince Jonathan once said, “It does not matter to the Lord if He saves by many or by few.” It does not matter to us if He opens the way to big groups or little ones. God loves them all and is using us to do His astonishing End-time Work.

After Martin Luther nailed his 95 Questions on the church door in 1517, many Austrians walked to Germany to study the Bible and learn the Gospel. They brought this back home. It is estimated that some 80% of Austria trusted the Protestant Gospel. The Emperors succeeded in reversing this. After butchery and exile, the Protestants became a minority. We believe God is loosing the power of the Gospel in Austria in our day. We have the privilege to see Him at work and join Him.

To use an 800-year-old Abbey to share how Jesus Christ makes a difference today is a privilege. God is reaffirming His commitment to Austria. The situation will look different if we move as He moves.

Sharon joins team at Ruach Journey

Sharon was invited to pray for participants at Ruach Journey retreat in Georgia, who are seeking more of the life of God through living out of their human spirit. Sharon represents the Redemptive Gift of Mercy, illustrating in her life how the Lord built potential into our spirits to sense His presence and bring circumstances into alignment with His leading.

Taking time for God at Ruach Journey

Ruach, pronounced “roo’-akh,” is the Hebrew word in the Bible
that describes God’s spirit and the human spirit.

Ruach Journey is three days of focusing on understanding
and appreciating your God-given design. It is an interactive experience
of teaching, prayer, and personal listening time with the One
who created the masterpiece of you.

In the summer of 2010 Sharon and Martin were invited to participate in a Christian witness at a New Age Fair in Evansville, Indiana. Many visitors were open to receive prayer and Christian literature. Some vendors were touched by the generosity of lunch and refreshments they received.

Starting in 2011 Sharon has been using a room at the Prayer Center as her counseling and prayer ministry office. Sharing with local believers has been encouraging to them and to her.

A group of women who have been meeting for Bible study and fellowship has included her in a Tour of Israel the second half of July. Sharon is thrilled at their generosity and at the opportunity to get in touch with the Holy Land and the Heavenly King who chose that land. Please pray for safety and for lasting blessing.

Sharon and Loretta completed a four-day seminar on the 7 Redemptive Gifts (Romans 12) and Overcoming the Victim Spirit at a seminar house south of Salzburg, Austria. Sharon said she had more work to do than usual by translating into German.
Here are some views of the seminar house run by a South African woman, who also reaches out with Intercessors for Austria. She left for home after the seminar to write a book.

Snow does not stop the Austria Ministry

57 Flights into LaGuardia canceled, 5 able to land

If you schedule a flight in February, be ready to pray about the snow

For some 6 months Sharon has been working toward a month of ministry in February, 2011. Many things worked together to indicate the dates: an invitation to speak, Loretta Brown’s availability for an extended trip, personal appointments, and many more. Airline reservations and hotel rooms were just finalized when the weather reports announced a Monster Storm.

They projected snow over a 2,000 mile swath from the Midwest to the Northeast of the USA. Some 100,000,000 people would be affected. On Tuesday, February 1, the airlines cancelled 6,300 flights. Sharon’s flight from Louisville, Kentucky, to LaGuardia Airport, New York, was cancelled. Pray!

The airline made available a flight via Washington, D. C. Sharon was so relieved. Then she got to Washington and her flight was cancelled. As it turned out the one flight she needed was the only one to fly. Out of 57 flights scheduled to land at LaGuardia, only 5 made it! Guess what two people were on two of those planes: Sharon Van Horn and Loretta Brown!

God can make a way for us. It is a way of faith and perseverance.

I am reminded of a testimony by George Mueller of England sailing into New York harbor in the fog. The captain of the ship did not want to proceed because of the dangers of collision without sight. Mueller told him, “I have never been late to an appointment the Lord told me to make. He will provide a way for your ship.” Sure enough, the fog cleared just in time to allow Mueller’s ship to sail into New York and dock on time.

Instead of Hungarian refugees, Hungarian worshippers

Vienna road sign to Budapest, Hungary

The Bad, Old Days in Europe when Communism trapped the Hungarians

Sharon and Martin Van Horn moved to Vienna, Austria, in 1981 to share the Gospel with Austrians. At that time Vienna was the end of the Western World, since it was situated at the Iron Curtain separating the West from the Soviet Communist empire. Budapest was the capital of Hungary, and to reach it an American had to wait in long lines at the border to buy a visa and have his car trunk and undercarriage inspected by police. Hungarians dreamed of freedom they could only hear on the radio or read about.

One Wednesday night a mysterious, bearded Hungarian with a heavy accent visited the prayer meeting at our little Austrian church. Ferenc Varga lived in Traiskirchen refugee camp. It turned out he was not a communist spy, but a man who had moved to Guatemala and become a Christian. Now he wanted to reach Hungarian refugees, who had escaped to the West, with the Gospel. Could I help?

For two years I drove vanloads of Hungarians, who mostly spoke no English, to our church or a local facility where I shared the wonders of a Bible and the Jesus Christ that they had had no chance to learn about. I had the privilege of baptizing five men before they moved on to America or Canada. It was a wonderful opportunity that God opened to me and our coworkers.

Then came the Fall of the Iron Curtain

Then in 1989 to the surprise of all observers, the Communist Empire fell. Czech students visited Vienna to give us pieces of barbed wire. I actually have this small segment of the Iron Curtain.

A hungarian man withstood the pressures of communist atheism and pastored a small church. Now he has over 200 churches, one of them in Vienna, Austria. They are known as the Hit [Faith] Churches. On April 4, 2010, Easter was celebrated on the public square in Budapest by 1,300 church members.

We have been set free: from atheism, communism, sin, death, fear, the Devil’s lies and unbelief. Celebrate together with these european believers. Savor the freedom that Jesus has given us all.

A Great Way To Start The New Year 2010: Exciting Retreat In Hempstead, Texas

Posted by Sharon Van Horn on February 9, 2010 under Events, Multimedia | Be the First to Comment

Life Connections International started 2010 joining two other ministries for a women’s retreat in Hempstead,Texas. Sharon flew on January 15th to Houston, Texas to join Johnyne Rees and Joey Gentempo from His Father’s Heart Ministries and Janet Howden from Jabin Ministries in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada to minister at a women’s retreat hosted by Tom and Johnyne Rees in Hempstead, Texas.

Joey, who is the Founder and Executive Director of His Father’s Heart Ministries taught in the morning session on the “Redemptive Gifts” from Romans 12. These are the motivational gifts which are a part of our destiny and calling from God. Janet spoke on how to experience God personally using activities which helped the women to learn how to hear God and sense His presence.
